COLLECTIONS

The Library provides a wide range of information resources to support research, education, training, and professional development for members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence.

The collection currently includes more than 50,000 books, over 50 periodical titles, audio-visual materials, and map collections covering various fields of study and military-related subjects.

The Library collection covers a broad range of subjects related to defence, security, leadership, and professional development. Key subject areas include:

The collection is designed to support research, education, operational readiness, policy studies, and lifelong learning for members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence.

In addition to its physical collections, the Library also provides access to a range of electronic resources to support research, learning, and professional development. These include e-journals, online databases, and e-books accessible through the Library network.

Among the digital resources available are internationally recognised platforms such as Janes, Stratfor, The Diplomat, and EBSCOhost, which provide access to defence, security, strategic studies, international affairs, and academic publications.

The Library also subscribes to selected e-books and digital publications to complement its print collections, enabling users to access relevant materials in electronic format for research and reference purposes.

CHILDREN’S COLLECTION

The Library provides a dedicated Children’s Collection for family members of RBAF and MINDEF personnel aged between 5 and 17 years old. The collection is located in the Children’s Room on the Ground Floor, adjacent to the e-Zone, and offers a variety of reading materials suitable for young readers and students.

MAPS

The Library’s map collection includes survey maps of Brunei Darussalam as well as air navigation charts covering the Southeast Asian region. These materials are maintained as part of the Library’s reference collection for research and informational purposes.

AUDIO-VISUAL MATERIALS

The Library provides a collection of CD-ROMs and DVDs for users’ reference and educational purposes. These materials may be accessed using the computers available at the Library’s e-Zone.
